Robot-Service Kft.

Production continuity starts with reliable machines.

Service and maintenance of industrial robots and automated systems

Don't wait until the machine stops to ask for help.

For more than a decade, Robot-Service Kft. has been designing, building, maintaining and servicing industrial robots, robot cells and automated production equipment. Our experienced engineers and technicians also have extensive experience in repairing and maintaining special-purpose machines and automated production equipment.

In addition to the systems we develop and build ourselves, we also provide professional maintenance and servicing for equipment from other manufacturers. Our goal is to keep our partners' production running reliably, predictably and with minimal downtime.

Service and maintenance of industrial robots and automated systems

Ad-hoc repairs and troubleshooting

When equipment stops, the first task is to identify the cause of the fault quickly and accurately.

During production, a breakdown cannot always wait. In such cases the aim is the fastest possible fault diagnosis and a safe restoration of operation.

Once a fault is reported, we assess the problem remotely in advance wherever possible. We review the available error codes, control information and the equipment's history, so that we arrive for the on-site work with the right specialist and, where possible, with the necessary parts.

On site, we don't just deal with the symptom. After the repair we check the equipment's operation, document the work carried out, and let you know if further intervention or preventive measures are advisable.

Preventive maintenance

Don't let a breakdown decide when the equipment needs attention.

The continuous operation of robots and automated systems is critical to production. Planned maintenance makes it possible to detect and prevent faults early.

During the planned inspection of the robot arm, robot cell and special-purpose machine, we carry out the necessary part replacements and repairs, as well as lubrication, greasing, filter changes and cleaning.

Benefits of planned maintenance

  • Predictable maintenance costs
  • Minimal production downtime
  • Lower risk of unexpected failures
  • Longer equipment service life

Maintenance scheduling

  • At predefined time intervals
  • Based on operating hours, matched to the actual use of the equipment
  • A combination of time and operating hours, for maximum operational reliability

Data-driven maintenance with ROBOMIND

Our in-house data acquisition system continuously records the condition, alarms and load of machines and robots. Based on the collected data, maintenance can be matched to actual usage, so interventions become plannable in advance. The solution can be applied both to equipment built by Robot-Service and to an existing machine fleet.

Maintenance contract

Maintenance works best when we don't start looking after the equipment only after a breakdown.

Regular maintenance can be planned well when it is defined in advance when, what and how often needs to be checked. That is why we do not offer the maintenance contract as a generic package, but tailor it to the needs of the specific machine, robot cell and production environment.

The agreement can include planned maintenance, condition assessment, diagnostics, service support, documentation and, if required, availability elements. The aim is for maintenance tasks to appear in production in a predictable, planned way rather than ad hoc.

This way the condition of the equipment can be tracked continuously, upcoming repairs can be anticipated, the necessary parts can be planned, and maintenance shutdowns can be coordinated with production.

Robot Health Check – condition assessment

Not every problem shows up as an error code. It is worth checking the condition even while the robot is still running.

The purpose of the Robot Health Check is to give a picture of the current technical condition of the robot or automated system.

During the inspection we review the mechanical and electrical condition of the robot, the controller and diagnostic information, the fault memory, the cables and connections, as well as any irregularities observed during operation.

The results of the assessment are provided in documented form. We clearly set out the problems found and the recommended next steps, so that your decision is based on concrete information rather than just a general technical impression.

When do we recommend it?

  • Before buying a used robot
  • Before a major overhaul
  • To investigate recurring faults
  • To assess the condition of a robot cell that has been running for a long time or under heavy load

Electrical and mechanical repair

The reliability of a robot cell does not depend on the robot arm alone.

Electrical and mechanical repair

The operation of automated equipment depends on many electrical and mechanical components working together. A fault in a cable, sensor, connection, drive, pneumatic or mechanical component can cause a stoppage just as much as the robot itself.

That is why our service work considers the system as a whole. Based on the fault symptoms we find the real cause, carry out the necessary repair or replacement, and then check the equipment's operation.

If the on-site inspection reveals further worn or risky components, we point them out separately so that the repair and the next planned intervention can be coordinated in advance.

Parts and repair

A fast repair needs not only a specialist but also the right part.

In servicing, it is often the availability of a part that determines when the equipment can be put back into operation. That is why fault diagnosis also includes identifying the required parts and preparing the repair; parts are supplied from our own or the manufacturer's stock.

Based on the assessment we determine the required part and, where justified, we also look at alternative repair or refurbishment options. The goal is not simply to replace a part, but to restore the equipment to normal operation.

If a part is expected to need replacing at the next maintenance, we let you know, so that the later shutdown can be planned better.

Availability and service support

Continuous production needs more than a one-off repair – it needs a partner you can turn to when a problem arises.

For robot cells operating with a higher production risk, it is worth defining in advance what level of service support is needed. Support can mean planned maintenance, remote diagnostics, on-site troubleshooting, programming assistance, or a combination of these.

The content of the availability arrangement is shaped by the specific system, the production period and the agreed service level. This way not every piece of equipment receives the same service; support can be matched to the actual business risk.

Specific response times, service time windows and availability conditions are always set out in the quotation and the contract.

On site within 24 hours

With a maintenance contract we are on site and start rectifying the fault within as little as 24 hours of your report. Public holidays and weekends are not counted towards the deadline.

How do we work?

A transparent process from fault report to completed service job.

Service work is efficient when everyone knows what the next step is. That is why we handle every job according to a uniform process; a dedicated department handles service requests and maintenance enquiries.

  1. 1Fault report or maintenance requestWe collect the necessary basic information.
  2. 2Preliminary diagnosticsWhere possible, we pin down the fault and the required resources remotely.
  3. 3Preparing the workWe agree on the date, the specialist, any parts needed and the working conditions.
  4. 4On-site interventionTroubleshooting, maintenance, repair or programming.
  5. 5Testing and verificationWe check the equipment's operation after the intervention.
  6. 6DocumentationThe work carried out is recorded in a service report.
  7. 7Next stepIf further repair, part replacement or preventive measures are advisable, we point this out separately.

We provide a warranty on the service work carried out. Service can cover the complete cell or an individual sub-assembly.

Service request and quotation request

Tell us what you need help with – we will clarify the rest together.

You don't need to know every technical detail in advance. The more information we receive about the equipment and the fault, the faster we can determine the next step.

Useful to include

  • The type of machine or robot
  • A short description of the fault and the error code
  • Whether production is stopped
  • Photos or video, if available

After your report we will contact you to agree on any further information needed and the options for carrying out the work.
